The proper placement of curtain rods...

Design tip:
This diagram simply illustrates the effect that curtain rod placement can have. You can absolutely create the illusion of a larger window and grander scale by simply mounting the curtain rod up high near the ceiling and beyond the side edges of the window trim.

The difference is clear, even in the illustration.

Trend Alert: Shutter Style

Lately, we're seeing shutters sprinkled throughout the marketplace. This once utilitarian window covering has taken new form indoors as wall decor. 
Consider shutters to embellish your home. You'll find so many creative ways to integrate them!
We've just introduced the most adorable shutter memo board. It's absolutely functional in a home office for letters, cards, memos, invitations, etc, or display them on their own to enhance a window or mirror.
