Client Inspiration: A hope chest towel caddy

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a client's home to discuss the finishing touches of her project. While I was there she shared the clever idea she came up with for one of our old hope chests.

 She placed it at the corner of her gorgeous bathtub to hold and display rolls of soft, color coordinated bath towels. Doesn't it look great?





Mona also utilized one of our vintage wooden vessels to display potpourri and a relaxing, scented candle beside the bath.


And of course, the essential Pre de Provence soap is perfectly perched in our bathtub soapdish!

 

I can't wait to share more pics of Mona's fabulous home once we have everything put together.

Karsten's New Rugs...

Karsten, our store owner, just installed some new rugs in his own home. These beauties come from our fabulous new rug collection, Surya!

The graphic pattern of this rug brings contemporary appeal to an otherwise traditional interior.

Another Satisfied Customer!

We just received some great feedback from a customer of ours who purchased one of our gorgeous floor models during this month's clearance event. She enhanced her new Jordan Sectional with our unique kilim pillows and a cozy throw blanket to add color, character and layered interest. Looks fab in her beautiful home!

Great Fireplace at the Caldwell residence...

I am currently working with a client who has a lovely home up in Woodside. When I visited the home for the first time I was impressed by their massive stone fireplace wall, complete with firewood storage nooks, similar to those I blogged about in a recent post. Check out this great looking fireplace wall...

They've even installed a swing-arm cast iron pot for cooking breads and stews. How fun is that?

Inspiration Boards...

The inspiration board is such an amazing tool of self discovery.

If you're tackling a large project, I highly recommend collecting images and items of inspiration to display on an ever-changing board in your workspace. You can constantly add to and edit your board as new ideas present themselves. Eventually, you will  find that you have come up with the right composition of elements to create the outcome you've been dreaming of.

I have found this method to be highly effective, inspiring, and fun! I know you will too!

Client Inspiration: Fall Holiday Decor

This Thanksgiving one of our favorite customers, Phoebe Clement, will greet guests at her door with this creative fall display. Phoebe has filled one of our old, red rice baskets with miniature pumpkins, nestled in a bed of raffia. Her larger, white, Cinderella-style pumpkin adds another layer of color and whimsy.
