A Step Above: Library Ladders
Ladders are not only functional, they will also add depth, and interest to any space while allowing for unique display opportunities. Here are some collected images to inspire you...
they look great in the kitchen
(so long as you have ample floor space to move around them)
perhaps in a pantry
a necessity in this tall library
this functional ladder allows for use of high cabinets in this small galley kitchen
in the home office, on its side
in a media room
(love the secret bunk, hidden above a deep doorway)
(I have one like this that I keep stocked full of guest towels in our guest room)
So many ideas! Send us your images of ladders in home decor!

Inspiration Board: Cottage Kitchen
I had so much fun putting together this Cottage Kitchen with a bit of French Bistro flair. I love the mix of classic red and white together with natural finishes. The vintage-inspired accessories add personality to the composition.
What a fun and family-friendly kitchen this would be!

Cute Kitchen!
I am currently working on a project in Menlo Park for a couple with transitional taste. They have transformed their new home from dark and dated to open and airy, mixing traditional and contemporary furnishings to create a dynamic look.
The homeowners have made the wise choice of creating a mostly neutral canvas of white and off-white interior finishes to which they can add elements of color and texture throughout the house.
In the kitchen, they wanted to add a vibrant contrast to the crisp white and stainless steel backdrop. With the homeowners' inspiration, I've suggested integrating bright blues and sunny yellows in the way of accent furniture and window treatments.
These fun colors can be further introduced into the design via accent pieces like tabletop decor, serve ware, hand towels, and the like.
Here are some items we're considering...
rustic blue cabinet filled with white dishes to juxtapose the clean lines of the built-in cabinetry
ikat patterns in blues and yellows for drapery panels to soften the hard surfaces while adding life and pop to the room
blue and white dishware
fresh and vibrant floral
perhaps a galvanized metal clock to accentuate the stainless steel appliances
I'll be sure to post our finished product!

Modern Farmhouse Kitchens...
My husband and I have been house hunting lately, and each new home we encounter gets my mind spinning about how I'd transform every space. When it comes to kitchens, our preferred aesthetic (well, mine, he doesn't get much of a say), is the modern farmhouse. It's simple, clean lines are task-friendly and utilitarian, while its vintage and rustic details create an inviting and approachable appeal.
Here are some of my favorite images for inspiration...
What do you think?
Now if I could only find the perfect house to put these in! I'll keep you posted.
