We're Inspired By...Tommy Smythe

Tommy Smythe, known originally as the side kick to HGTV's Sara Richardson, has inspired us with his brilliant room styling and mastery of accents. His vignette compositions always tell a story of style without appearing overdone. His interiors are wonderful examples of "editing", showcasing well-chosen and distinct elements of design.

Accenting with black can be quite challenging for many designers, and I have always felt that Tommy Smythe integrates black accents better than the rest. See the proof in his rooms pictured below:

Just about everything Erin Martin puts together sends me over the edge. She's not afraid to cross the line and test limits with scale, object, or function. The creativity and imagination that her work embodies is absolutely inspiring. While her interiors might be outside the box, they remain universally appealing all at the same time. In a world of designer copy-cats, Erin Martin is a talented, true original!
